Co-founder and CEO, SiFi. Former Governor, Saudi Customs.
Every company that sets up in Saudi Arabia hits the same wall in month two. It can register, it can hire, and then it cannot pay anyone without a bank visit. Ahmed built SiFi so that wall is not there: corporate cards, expenses and payables that work the way a finance team expects them to, licensed here and built here. SiFi launched in June 2021 and closed a ten million dollar seed round led by Sanabil Investments and RAED Ventures in May 2024.
Before SiFi he ran the General Customs Authority from January 2017 to March 2021, the institution every imported thing in the Kingdom passes through. He has seen the border and the balance sheet, and he explains both without jargon. An INSEAD MBA and a computer information systems degree from King Saud University sit behind it, along with executive education at LSE and IMD, and a founding committee seat at flyadeal.
