The light

Saudi landlords have long asked for a year's rent in advance. For an arriving family or a new company that is a wall in the first month, and Yazeed hit it himself. He came back from the United Kingdom and Japan, could not put down twelve months as a fresh graduate, then hit the same wall again renting an office for an earlier startup.

Ejari, founded in 2022 with childhood friends Fahad Albedah, Mohammed Alkhelewy and Khalid Almunif, lets a tenant pay monthly while the landlord still receives the year upfront. It raised a one million dollar pre-seed from Sanabil 500 MENA and Oryx Fund in 2023, then a 14.65 million dollar debt and equity seed in 2025 led by Partners for Growth with BECO Capital, anb seed, Rua Ventures, Alinma Pay, Vision Ventures and Aqar. It is now extending into furnishing, maintenance and relocation.
